Nurture Watch® APP
Yes. The Nurture Watch® APP works in both systems.
Your distributor will provide you with the APP or direct you to an App Store or Google Play Store.
Your distributor will provide you with a Nurture Watch® APP user name and password. Once you login, select a language, and then change your password by accessing the top left menu / profile.
By accessing Actions / Device settings you can edit:
+ Name to identify the watch: Dad, Grandma, Jim, Mr. Jones Rm 204, etc. + The 3 predefined phone numbers for SOS or other calls from the watch user. Remember that in an SOS situation calls are initiated in order: first #1, then #2 if there is no answer from #1, followed by #3 if is no answer from #2.
+ Interval to track the watch location: every 15 minutes is standard and will depend on your personal requirements. Remember that more tracking consumes more battery.
+ Whether or not you want to detect abrupt movements and/or falls.
+ Analog or digital view.
+ Notifications you want the APP to receive: Offline, low battery, SOS, others.
Through a dual-mode location technology, the watch tracks the location to send it to the APP: + Tracking under “open sky” by GPS. + Tracking inside buildings (home, residential housing, mall, etc.) by automatically detecting nearby WiFi device locations. No actual WiFi login, ID or password are needed.
No, however, as with many other mobile applications it is advisable to connect to a local WiFi in order to reduce network charges on your mobile.
The Main Map screen is your starting point to access system options and monitor the user’s watch. From this screen, you can:
+ See the latest information received by the Nurture Watch®: positioning by GPS or WiFi in the map, watch name, location, date, time, speed on lengthy routes, and battery level. + Access two menus: the Top-Left Menu and the Actions Menu
The options most used are: Main Map, Alarms, Profile, Help, and Sign out.
+ In the Actions / Device settings / Notifications you may choose: Offline, low battery, SOS, Over speed (speed is set up)
+ In the Actions / Safe zones you can define specific alarms to receive when the watch user: enters, leaves, should be, or should leave within a certain number of meters from a specific location, and the time of the day for the event (enter, leave, should be, should leave) will take place.
From the Main Map screen select: Top Left menu / Alarms. This screen will show you all the alarms captured by the watch. Tap the alarm you want to examine to get the alarm location on a map. By selecting the magnifying glass in the green bar, you can filter what to look for and view data such as: alarm type, date and time received, location and speed.
On the Top-Left menu, select Profile to see the appropriate screen. By selecting “Password change” you can modify the application login password.
You need your user name and password to enter to the Nurture Watch® APP. Make sure you set a user name and password you are able to remember easily or store them in a safe place.
When you login to the Nurture Watch® APP you can select the “forgot password” option. Information will be sent to your mobile. Make sure you have registered your mobile number and your email address.
Green means online, yellow means no reception, and red means the watch is offline.
Select from the Main Map screen the Actions menu and tap the phone call icon button. If the auto answer option is “ON” the watch user does not need to do anything, and the family member/caregiver should start the conversation promptly. If the auto answer option is “OFF” the watch user will get a ringing sound and/or vibration and a “reject or accept” option will be displayed on the Nurture Watch® user’s screen.
Select from the Main Map screen the Actions menu and tap the heart rate icon button. This action will display the latest watch user’s pulse/heart rate history. By tapping the heart icon on the bottom right, you send a command to the Nurture Watch® to measure the pulse rate of the watch user. Around 20–30 seconds later, you will receive the reading on your screen. By tapping OK it will be added to the heart rate history.
Important: Note that the pulse rate gauge is not a substitute for medical advice or for measuring the pulse by professionals. If there is any doubt about the outcome, please contact a physician.
Select from the Main Map screen the Actions menu and tap the watch location history icon button. This action will show you a calendar where you can select a specific day to track the Nurture Watch® user’s locations. The application will display a map with a green path (lines) representing the locations registered for that day from 00:00 to 23:59 hrs.
At the top of the screen there is a blue line within a set of arrows. By displacing the green dot to the right or left, you can browse the Nurture Watch® user’s locations during that day. By tapping the location icon, more information will be displayed to you for a specific time/location.
Select from the Main Map screen the Actions menu and tap the device settings icon button. This action will show you several icons including the “interval” option” and its current value, for example 15 minutes. You may adjust the frequency to predetermined intervals. Remember that a more frequent tracking location will consume more of the user’s watch battery.
In the Actions menu select the Safe zones icon. The screen will show you the current safe zones alarms which are currently setup. If there are none, most of the screen will be blank. At the bottom right, you may tap the “+” option to add a new safe zone alarm. You can define specific alarms to receive when the watch user: enters, leaves, should be, or should leave an area within a certain number of meters from a specific location.
In the Actions menu tap the navigation icon button. This will allow you to open Waze® or Google Maps® which may assist you in navigating a vehicle on streets/roads to reach the current position of the Nurture Watch® user.

Press the BLACK button again for around 2-4 seconds and a screen with 3 options will appear: Power off / Airplane mode / Silent Mode. Turn on the screen with the BLACK button to display the time of the day. Press again the BLACK button for around 2 to 4 seconds and a screen with 3 options will appear: Power off / Airplane mode / Silent Mode. Below the Silent Mode option, the current mode will be shown: “Sound is on” or “Sound is off”. Tap the Silent Mode option to change the mode or press the BLACK button again to leave that screen with the mode unchanged.
The most common use is to display the time of day as the screen shuts off by itself to save battery use. If the time of day screen is on, then pressing the BLACK button will make the time of day screen disappear. It is also used to power off the watch or change the airplane or silent modes as explained in Section 2, questions 4 and 5 of the FAQs.
The most important function is to originate an SOS alert situation by pressing it for around 5 seconds. It is also used to return from the screen showing the 3 predefined numbers to the previous screen.
Yes, the watch is water-resistant, such as for washing hands. It is NOT intended for swimming or heavy exposure to water and steam.
The battery duration depends on the watch usage and usually lasts from morning till night time. Depending on usage, it could even last a full day. If the user is using the watch at night, it might be necessary to recharge it before going to bed. Charging time takes up to one hour.
The charger may be connected to 100 to 240 volts. A plug adapter is also supplied, which works for most North American countries and several other countries in Europe and other continents.
Press the red button for about 5 seconds. The watch will vibrate to recognize an urgent situation and lets the user know that it is beginning the following actions:
+ Sends a distress signal to the person with the NurtureWatch® APP, such as a family member/caregiver, and transmits the watch user location + Initiates a 2-way phone call to the predefined #1 number. If the phone call to #1 is not answered, the watch will automatically dial the #2 predefined number. If #2 does not answer, the watch will attempt to call the predefined #3 number. Answer via voice mail will be considered as a completed call.
Not in the watch itself. This is done through the Nurture Watch® APP with: Actions / Device settings / Family number 1, 2 and 3.
There are 2 ways depending on the APP / Device settings / Auto answer option. If the auto answer is off the watch user will hear an incoming call tone and will be shown a scree to accept or reject the call. If the auto answer option is on, the call will be completed without the watch user’s intervention and the external caller should start a conversation.
The abrupt movements / fall situations are triggered by an algorithm that uses several movement sensors. The level of sensitivity is set up by the distributor according to the watch and APP users’ requests. When the sensitivity is high there might be situations where false alarms are originated, however they can be immediately cancelled by the watch user. This is explained in Section 2, question 15 of the FAQs.
As soon as the watch detects a sharp, abrupt movement, it will begin a sequence of 5 beeps. After the 5 beeps, the watch sends an abrupt movement/fall down SOS alert to the family member/caregiver with the NurtureWatch® APP; they will also receive the NurtureWatch® user’s location. The person wearing the watch can cancel a false alert by shaking his/her hand for around 3 seconds before the 5 beep-sequence finishes. The watch recognizes the cancellation by altering the 5-beep sequence, and the alert will not be sent.
